Stella is an amazing girl who just needs a bit of time for her wonderful personality to shine through. A couple of meets at the centre to build a bond prior to adoption will need to take place. Stella likes to be kept entertained and having company so will need someone at home throughout the day. She can live with teenagers who are comfortable around big, bouncy dogs as she does jump up when excited. With meeting other dogs Stella is polite and greets them well so can live with another pending a successful introduction. Brushing up on her basic training will be beneficial as well as building up positive associations with handling as she can find this quite worrying.

Stella is full of energy and such a playful character! She enjoys games and playtimes and will do ‘swapsies’ with her toys. She’s looking forward to plenty of enriching walks with her new family, but these may need to be close to home whilst she gets used to travelling in the car. There is a sensitive side to Stella so new experiences will need to be introduced at a steady pace, but she is keen to learn so will soon be a star pupil. For someone who has time to help Stella with her training and provide plenty of bum scratches, she’s going to be a joy to welcome into the family!

Great Dane Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Great Dane.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
